Educational Technology

Tonight I was asked to come up with a quick blog in regards to
educational technology in the classroom. Admitting I was stumped is
normally quite difficult, but since I have an assignment, I must
proceed. I can usually come up with anything on the spot, but now I have
to blog about it. I am also not a person who is really thrilled by the
whole "blogging." Personally, it is not for me. I actually was not able
to come up with anything that was witty or had that complete wow factor,
until I thought of my current class this semester.
In Calculus II my Professor currently uses the Wacom Tablet with his
Apple Computer to easily display math problems on the board. I find this
to be a great use of technology because it is easier to read, rather
than reading off a board where teachers typically do not write that big.
Also, the teacher is no longer standing in front of what they are
displaying on the board. Below is a picture of this tablet in action.
This just shows the view, but let me show you the actual tablet.
You wouldn't believe that I researched to find that this tablet went
from $80.00 up to $230.00, but it seems to work for my Professor, and it
works for the student too. I can say this because I am the student. You
can buy this tablet below.
